An action packed and colourful book set in the outback and looks at one of Australia's great mail runs. There are maps and plenty of interesting facts - including that the original Leyland Badger truck has been restored and can be seen at the National Motor Museum at Birdwood, SA.
Winner of the Eve Pownall Award for Information Books awarded by The Childrens Book Council of Australia. The author also wrote Mailman of the Birdsville Track: the story of Tom Kruse, so the information is well researched.
