On 19th January 1863 a partnership was drawn up between Morehead and Young (the Company's representative in Australia), who held a half share, William Landsborough (the explorer), holding a quarter share, and E.B.Cornish and N Buchanan, each holding an eighth share. This was the partnership that was known in Queensland as the Landsborough River Company. The area possessed by this company was 2193 square miles.
This book chronicles many who were buried on Bowen Downs or in that area. Alexander Jeffray, Annie Augusta Butler, James Morgan, Campbell Turner and Margaret Catherine Shaw are just a few of the many in this book.
