Using several treasured copies in Winton to get quality pages, this facsimile edition was originally edited by Father Burke. Written after the first 50 years of European settlement, its contents are close to the founding of the Pelican Waterhole settlement.

It was dedicated to those grand old pioneers of Vindex, Elderslie, Bladensburg, Oondooroo and Ayrshire Stations.

It has Miss O'Sullivans poem, Winton Jubilee Ode, paragraphs on the Aboriginals, the Chinese, and Winton in the Eighties - 1880 that is.Winton Ambulance, public institutions, Winton's War Efforts and so on are interspersed with advertisements for businesses of the day and early photographs.
